Our Therapies

Sensory Integration Therapy

Sensory Integration Therapy (SIT) helps children with sensory processing issues by improving how they interpret and respond to sensory inputs like touch, sound, taste, sight, and movement. It's beneficial for children with hypersensitivity or hypo-sensitivity, enhancing their daily functioning.

Speech therapy

Speech therapy is a specialized intervention focused on improving communication skills, including speech, language, and swallowing disorders. It is commonly used for children and adults who face difficulties in these areas, such as those with developmental delays, autism, hearing impairments, and other conditions affecting communication.

ABA Behaviour Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. It’s widely used to help individuals, especially children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), develop positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones. ABA is evidence-based and focuses on improving specific behaviors such as social skills, communication, reading, and academics, as well as adaptive learning skills like fine motor dexterity, hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities, punctuality, and job competence.

Acupuncture Therapy

For children acupuncture may help address various issues like anxiety, sleep disturbances, and sensory sensitivities. It aims to promote overall well-being by balancing energy and supporting the body’s natural healing processes. However, it's essential to consult with healthcare professionals to ensure it's used safely and effectively as part of a comprehensive care plan.

ADLs ( Activities of Daily Living )

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are crucial tasks that individuals perform daily to maintain their health and independence. Basic ADLs (BADLs) include essential self-care activities such as eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, which involve moving around and managing personal hygiene. Instrumental ADLs (IADLs) encompass more complex tasks necessary for independent living, such as managing finances, handling transportation, shopping, housekeeping, cooking, and communication. Proficiency in these activities is vital for sustaining autonomy and quality of life. When individuals struggle with ADLs, they may need support or adaptive solutions to help them manage these everyday responsibilities.
Occupational therapy (OT)
Occupational therapy (OT) for children focuses on helping them develop the skills they need to grow, learn, play, and interact with others. It's particularly beneficial for children with developmental delays, physical disabilities, sensory processing issues, or other challenges that affect their ability to perform everyday tasks.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy for children, also known as pediatric physiotherapy, focuses on helping children develop, improve, or regain physical abilities that are crucial for their growth and daily activities. It's designed to address various conditions affecting movement, coordination, and physical development.

Social Communication Skills

Social communication skills refer to the abilities that allow individuals to interact effectively with others in social settings. These skills are crucial for building relationships, expressing needs, understanding others, and navigating social environments. For children, developing strong social communication skills is essential for success in school, making friends, and participating in community activities.

Slow Learners

Supporting slow learners involves creating a personalized learning plan that matches the child's unique needs and strengths. This includes using tailored teaching methods, providing additional resources, and offering hands-on, engaging activities. Consistent routines, clear instructions, and frequent practice help reinforce learning. Positive reinforcement and emotional support build confidence, while collaboration with caregivers ensures effective support at home. Adaptability and patience are key, allowing children to progress at their own pace while celebrating their achievements.

Group and Individual Therapy

Group therapy involves a small group of individuals with similar issues meeting together under a therapist's guidance, providing social support and shared learning experiences. It’s effective for enhancing social skills and addressing common challenges. In contrast, individual therapy focuses on one-on-one sessions between a therapist and a client, offering personalized attention and a tailored approach to specific issues. It’s ideal for deeper, personalized work on emotional or psychological challenges. Both approaches can be effective, depending on individual needs and preferences.
